"A clear statement from President Javier Milei: there was an electoral defeat and whatever needs to be corrected will be corrected, but the country's course is firm ," emphasized the candidate for national senator for the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) party in the City of Buenos Aires for the October legislative elections.

In a message posted on the social network X after accompanying Milei to the La Plata bunker, with extreme seriousness on his face throughout the presidential speech, he added: “Like the first day, we will continue working for good Argentinians.”

Moments earlier, in the provincial capital, Milei had acknowledged defeat and also admitted that he would make corrections. However, these considerations did not prevent him from establishing his direction. " The course will not be modified, but rather it will be redoubled ," he noted.

"What needs to be made clear is that, without a doubt, we've suffered a political defeat. If we want to move forward, we must accept the results. We suffered a setback, and we must accept it," he began his speech.

The President also stated: "This will lead to a profound self-criticism , where we will correct our mistakes. There is no option to repeat the same mistakes. We will correct them."

In his brief, six-minute speech, he also criticized Peronism for "having deployed the entire apparatus" of the PJ, "which they manage efficiently."

In that sense, he stated that Sunday's result in the province of Buenos Aires represents "the floor for La Libertad Avanza" and "the ceiling" for Fuerza Patria.
